Coronado sofa by B&B Italia

Coronado is a sofa with a traditional design, a classic that is the very image of relaxation. Do you prefer it in its most typical lining? It is in leather, while the newer look is fabric. The seat and back cushions are available with buttons. The version without buttons has a particularly useful feature: the cushion lining is removable. When using the sofa, your comfort is guaranteed by the spring system, which is made with strips of special wire inserted in the frame. Two- or three-seat sofas, armchairs with headrest and pouff: they are all made up of elements that can be easily disassembled.

The depth of the seat is the main feature of these sofas and their new end elements, which are as long as chaise-longues but never go beyond the overall size of the sofa. Evoking the memory of the American sofas of the sixties, the depth of the seat, besides providing excellent comfort, does not hide the aim of a strong visual impact. The contrast of the feet gives the group a very up-to-date look. The system is made up of sofas in three lengths and matching elements, which include right and left end pieces, a corner piece and an end chaise-longue. All the pieces are also available with lining.

B&B Italia is now presenting, in a renewed version, “Le Bambole” an incredibly successful collection designed in the 1970s, winner of the “Compasso d’Oro” Award in 1979. What makes “Le Bambole” really special is the apparent absence of a supporting structure. The different modules of the Frank sistem with simple shapes and generous proportions, leaning on a thin profile and on nickel varnished or polished supports. All the modules, excluding the pouf and the chaise longue, are composed by two sitting cushions. Further comfort and relax positions are given by three small rigid cushions, which should be placed to add additional support for the back cushions on the sofas, on the pouf, and as an arm rest.

With this updated Luis design the modular seat, proposed in numerous versions, offers a solution that unites comfort and formal elegance. Balanced volumes, measured proportions and an extremely soft appearance thanks to down cushions, accompany a wide range of compositional solutions that can adapt to different sized spaces. Two seat depths (90.5 and 106.5 cm), versions with two cushions (78 and 94 cm) and three cushions (78 cm), with two height variations for the backrests and armrests.
