Coronado sofa by B&B Italia

Coronado is a sofa with a traditional design, a classic that is the very image of relaxation. Do you prefer it in its most typical lining? It is in leather, while the newer look is fabric. The seat and back cushions are available with buttons. The version without buttons has a particularly useful feature: the cushion lining is removable. When using the sofa, your comfort is guaranteed by the spring system, which is made with strips of special wire inserted in the frame. Two- or three-seat sofas, armchairs with headrest and pouff: they are all made up of elements that can be easily disassembled.

The depth of the seat is the main feature of these sofas and their new end elements, which are as long as chaise-longues but never go beyond the overall size of the sofa. Evoking the memory of the American sofas of the sixties, the depth of the seat, besides providing excellent comfort, does not hide the aim of a strong visual impact. The contrast of the feet gives the group a very up-to-date look. The system is made up of sofas in three lengths and matching elements, which include right and left end pieces, a corner piece and an end chaise-longue. All the pieces are also available with lining.

The George system consists of two different types of sofas which share the same aluminium base with bright brushed finishing or graphite varnish finishing, and are differentiated by the presence or absence of detached cushions on the seat. The first sofa has a softer look and a straight shape in two size variants. The second, without the seat cushions, has a deeper seat, wider arms and can be combined with a chaise-longue end unit. The system is completed by two armchairs, of different sizes; two ottomans and one chaise longue ottoman whose back can be reclined at different angles.

Andy designer sofa interprets the theme of the sofa without supports and is designed to meet a host of comfort and posture requirements thanks to its easyto- use mechanical systems. Its distinguishing feature is a developing seat to convert it from sofa to chaise longue. The advancement of both seats makes it large enough to become a bed. The mechanism installed on the backrest allows to adjust inclination from an horizontal position, which is most decorative, to a vertical position, which is extremely comfortable for the back. The collection includes an ottoman which perfectly matches the modules in the system.

Moon System sofa by B&B Italia

A continuous shape, a blend of aesthetics and ergonomics: Moon System expresses the perfect combination of B&B Italia's tendency towards experimentation and the ongoing research into the complexity of curved geometry of world-famous architect Zaha Hadid. The traditional idea of seating is radically re-examined to create a new, strongly dynamic angular shape: a "single block" sofa that looks like the back, seat and armrests were "carved" out of a single material. With a metallic sheen like an object from outer space, Moon System is at its theatrical best when positioned in the middle of a room. Its flowing curves appear to change from different points of observation. A matching pouf the shape of the indentation on the front of the sofa completes the scene, following and filling in the general design of the piece.

Le Bambole sofa by B&B Italia

B&B Italia is now presenting, in a renewed version, “Le Bambole” an incredibly successful collection designed in the 1970s, winner of the “Compasso d’Oro” Award in 1979. What makes “Le Bambole” really special is the apparent absence of a supporting structure. The extremely natural look of the overall shape, and the message of comfort, softness and elasticity that its appearance conveys so effectively are the characteristics that make a lasting impression. “Le Bambole ’07”, in the armchair model (Bambola), two-seat and three-seat sofa (Bibambola and Tribambola), and pouf in two different sizes (Bambouff), is best fitted out in denim, peached finish cottons or suede leather.

Fat sofa by B&B Italia

In the beginning there was Fat-Fat a multifunctional element that doubled as a table/container, from which first the Fat-Fat coffee tables and then the Fat-Fat bed developed. Now these same round, soft and sinuous shapes are repeated in a seating system which includes different typologies: from the linear sofa to the terminal elements, from the armchair with back in two heights, to the chaise longue and to the new ottomans. “A welcoming, protective island. Pleasant to the touch, solid reassuring, without sharp edges, sensual” is how Patricia Urquiola describes her work, aimed at identifying new perceptions of domestic objects in a language which is intentionally “in contrast with the orthagonal nature of work and the urban network”. Fat designer sofa can be upholstered in fabric or leather and is available in a double-colour version or mixing leather and fabric, where the horizontal and vertical surfaces dialogue with each other through nuances of shade or in stronger contrasts.

The different modules of the Frank sistem with simple shapes and generous proportions, leaning on a thin profile and on nickel varnished or polished supports. All the modules, excluding the pouf and the chaise longue, are composed by two sitting cushions. Further comfort and relax positions are given by three small rigid cushions, which should be placed to add additional support for the back cushions on the sofas, on the pouf, and as an arm rest.

Ray sofa by B&B Italia

Ray is a seating system born from the careful convergence of proportions and volumes typical of Antonio Citterio. This modular system, which starts from linear elements, can be extended to include chaise longues, end pieces and ottomans. Although the primary focus of Ray designer sofa is on comfort with every element at a dual depth, the design is in the details as it features a beautiful “blanket stitch” tailoring that enriches the removable covers. Created with two depths, this sofa has a more traditional version and an extra large version for those that want a truly relaxing position. A main feature is the U-shaped foot in diecast bronzed nickel aluminium that, along with the seat cushions, contributes to creating an image of Ray as a low sofa - a particularly elegant piece. Its sense of comfort is expressed through its many soft cushions, the exact number of which depends on the image that one wants to convey. Even the solid or contrasting fabrics contribute to determining its personality.

Tufty-Too sofa by B&B Italia

With Tufty-Too designer sofa, Patricia Urquiola recalls one of the most successful designs in her collaboration with B&B Italia and adds a new, soft and contemporary appearance to this family of sofas.
The cover, easily removable, is distinguished by matching and contrasting stitching that becomes a decorative motif. The new range of fabrics offers interesting alternatives for texture and colour that complement already existing items.

Michel sofa by B&B Italia
